Perched on the uprising crest of Kunming University of Science & Technology in LianHau Campus, the C.C.WU HALL houses two exhibition halls, one auditorium, a library, 2 stories of conference centres, offices and other amenities. As to enhance and to grace the Kunming area with a unique element, all features in the design had been implemented up to international standards. A holistic approach in the design was adopted with the surrounding being carefully blended in harmony with the building. Functional spaces are housed in simple geometrical forms integrated together by an open link bridge, podium roof and a semi‐transparent metal screen in order to enable users to circulate around the complex with the nature and environment. Simple yet high tech design, neutral finishes, colour and natural materials are selected for the building interior and façade.
